Supporting final beneficiaries and financial institutions
The EIB Loans for SMEs implemented by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia also include technical assistance and expertise to provide support for the design and implementation of the programme as well as to stimulate and support investments. The overall objective of this operation is to support the expansion of sustainable lending to SMEs in the agriculture and tourism sectors in Armenia, thus contributing to the broadening and deepening of the financial sector, supporting SMEs/mid-caps and promoting the development of the private sector as well as creating and securing employment and income in rural areas in Armenia. The technical assistance, which is implemented by the German consultancy company IPC – Internationale Projekt Consult GmbH, is provided to different target groups.
